A workshop, not a middleman.
Since 2004

A workshop, not a middleman.

We are a family-run fabrication business in Moorebank, NSW, Australia. Everything we sell, we make, and the crew who make it are the crew who install it.

The workshop

A fabrication shop is only as good as the last job it handed over. That is a harder standard than it sounds.

We started in 2004 with a guillotine, a second-hand brake and one plain brief: fabricate and install stainless steel properly, and turn up when we said we would. Two of those three are gone. The habit is what the business is built on.

Between the people on the floor there is more than twenty-five years of combined trade experience across sheet metal, TIG and MIG welding, architectural metalwork, handrails and site installation. A bench repair, a folded part and a full kitchen package get read the same way before any of them is quoted.

Today M&C runs a Moorebank workshop in NSW, Australia, with a 135 tonne press brake, a full-sheet guillotine, TIG and MIG bays, three mobile welding units and an install crew that is on our books rather than a labour hire list. That last part matters more than the machines: it is why the quality of an installation does not depend on who happened to be available that week.

Most of our work comes from hospitality groups, builders, architects and fabricators who have used us before. A reasonable amount comes from people who inherited someone else's fabrication and needed it fixed. We are happy to take either.

What drives us

Our mission, vision and values.

The guiding principles behind every job that leaves the Moorebank floor, and the ones we are measured against when something goes wrong.

01

Our mission

To deliver stainless steel fabrication that outlasts the job it was built for. Measured on site, drawn before it is cut, and finished to a standard we would accept in our own workshop.

Mission
02

Our vision

To be the stainless steel fabricator that builders, architects, kitchen operators and trade workshops in Australia call first. Not because we are the cheapest quote in the inbox, but because the last job we handed over still looks right.

Vision
03

Our values

Integrity, craftsmanship and plain speaking. We quote what a job costs, we say no to details that will not work, and we put our name on every weld that leaves the floor.

Values
04

Our growth

Since 2004 we have gone from one shed and two sets of hands to a full workshop, three mobile welding units and an in-house install crew. We reinvested in machinery and tradespeople rather than sales.

Growth
How we work

Four things we will not compromise on.

Where the values above meet a real job. These are the four arguments we are willing to have with a client before a job starts.

01

Measure twice, quote once

Our quotes come from a site visit and a drawing, so the number you approve is the number you pay. Variations happen when someone guessed, and we would rather not guess.

02

Build it so it can be cleaned

A kitchen surface that cannot be cleaned in thirty seconds will not be cleaned. Coved corners, welded joints and removable shelves are not upgrades here, they are the standard.

03

Say no early

If a detail will not work, will not pass, or will cost more to maintain than it saves to build, we say so during drawings, not during installation.

04

Own the finish

The last five percent of a fabrication job is what people actually touch. We do not hand over a job with a weld we would not want in our own kitchen.

What it is like to work with us.

01 / 05
They measured after close so we did not lose a bake. The benches landed on Sunday, the grain ran the same way across every top, and we were producing Monday morning.

We send M&C the folding we cannot miss. Fifty brackets come back the same, the holes land, and we do not have a fitter on site with a hammer. That is why they stay on the programme.
Lina MorettiProject Manager, Techlima Shopfitting
When our own floor is full we give them the stainless package, not the leftovers. Shop drawings come back marked, welds are dressed, and we do not have to rework it before it leaves for site.
Chris VlahosWorkshop Lead, Profab Metal Works
They set out from the building as built, not from the drawing we hoped was right. The servery in Parramatta went in on the date we gave the client, and the certifier signed off the materials schedule without a fight.
Amira HaddadDirector, IZI Group
The join between our joinery and their steel is usually where a fit-out comes apart. They held a 4mm shadow line the length of the run and we did not have to scribe timber to hide a miss.
