Stainless Steel Fabrication

Design, fabrication, finishing and installation all happen under our roof, which is why the person who measured your site is the person who signs off the install.

Commercial & Residential Kitchen Fabrication

A commercial kitchen across Greater Sydney is a machine, and every surface in it is a moving part, fabricated at the Moorebank workshop. M&C fabricates the benches, sinks, hoods, racks and service counters that machine runs on. Measured on your site, drawn to your workflow, and welded from 304 or 316 grade stainless steel. Food-contact joints are fully welded, not silicone-sealed, and the same crew installs them.

  • 304 and 316 grade stainless steel
  • On-site measure and shop drawings
  • Certifier-ready gas and hydraulic penetrations
  • Fully welded, linished and passivated finishes

Precision Cutting & Bending

Half of what leaves the Moorebank workshop for Greater Sydney is not a finished product at all. It is accurately cut and folded material for another fabricator or builder who needs it right and needs it Tuesday.

  • Full-sheet guillotine shearing
  • 135 tonne CNC press brake
  • Bending, rolling and hemming

Architectural Metalwork

Architectural steel for Greater Sydney is judged twice: once by the engineer and once by everyone who walks past it, and it is fabricated in Moorebank. M&C fabricates framing that satisfies both, from bar carcasses and wine walls to gas cages, hydrant surrounds, balustrades and feature screens.

  • Engineer-coordinated structural framing
  • Concealed fixings and mitred joints
  • Powder coating to any RAL
  • Hot-dip galvanising for external work

Mobile & On-Site Welding

Some Greater Sydney work cannot come back to the Moorebank workshop. A bench that has to be joined in place, a handrail altered around a new door, a cracked frame on a Friday afternoon. All of it happens on site or not at all.

  • TIG, MIG and stick, all on board
  • Stainless, mild steel and aluminium
  • Hot works permits and fire watch
  • After-hours and between-service work

Handrails & Balustrades

A handrail across Greater Sydney is judged every time someone uses the stair, and the rail itself is rolled and welded in Moorebank. We fabricate rails and balustrades to the loadings in AS 1170 and the height, gap and infill rules in the NCC, then finish them so they feel like one piece.

  • Detailed to NCC and AS 1170
  • Rolled curves, dressed welds
  • Glass, baluster or mesh infill
  • 304, 316 or coated systems

Sheet Metal Fabrication

Sheet metal fabrication in Sydney is most of what the Moorebank workshop does. Enclosures, panels, flashings, boxes, covers and the parts that do not have a catalogue number because they were drawn for one site.

  • Stainless, mild steel and aluminium
  • Guillotine, brake and TIG / MIG
  • One-offs and repeat batches

Installation & Repairs

Fabrication that sits in the Moorebank yard is only half a Greater Sydney job. We install with our own crew: set-out, level, join, seal and hand over a clean site with photographs.

  • In-house install crew
  • On-site welding, levelling, sealing
  • Alterations and breakdown repairs
  • After-hours and live-site work
